Vandewater Tower

The Vandewater is a 33-story luxury residential tower in Manhattan’s Morningside Heights, featuring a series of intimate garden spaces designed as tranquil year-round retreats for residents and visitors. Inspired by the relationship between landscape and architecture seen in iconic New York City spaces such as Columbia University nearby, the project integrates refined planting design, custom paving, and structural coordination across the arrival court, dining patio, and private event gardens.

MY ROLE: I served as the designer for the project, developing conceptual layouts, drafting, creating all graphics/models/renderings, leading client meetings, curating plant species and material selection, coordinating with architects and engineers, and designing the custom paving patterns that extend seamlessly from the exterior landscapes into the building lobby.
